Meta-Ledger Architecture
Questdriem Echo's pioneering architecture that removes congestion by enabling specialized, parallel blockchains for different use cases.
The "World Computer" Bottleneck
Blockchains like Ethereum are often called "world computers," but they suffer from a major limitation: every application, from DeFi swaps to NFT mints to simple token transfers, must compete for the same limited block space. This leads to network congestion, high gas fees, and a poor user experience, especially during periods of high demand.
The Meta-Ledger Solution: A Network of Specialized Chains
XOLIXBlock's Meta-Ledger is not a single blockchain. It is a "blockchain of blockchains," a network of interconnected, parallel chains (called "Sub-Chains") that operate under the security and consensus of a main "Beacon Chain." Each Sub-Chain can be optimized for a specific purpose.
Instead of one chain doing everything, the Meta-Ledger allows for a dedicated chain for gaming, another for DeFi, and another for enterprise applications. They all run in parallel, sharing security but not competing for resources. This is how XOLIXBlock achieves massive scalability.
How It Works
- The **Beacon Chain** is the heart of the network. It doesn't process transactions itself but coordinates the network of Sub-Chains and manages the SPoS validator set.
- **Sub-Chains** are the individual, parallel blockchains where transactions are actually processed. Developers can choose to deploy their dApp on a general-purpose Sub-Chain or even propose the creation of a new, application-specific Sub-Chain through governance.
- **Cross-Chain Communication** between Sub-Chains is handled natively by the Beacon Chain using our Questdriem OmniChain Contract (QOC) technology. This allows assets and data to move seamlessly between Sub-Chains without bridges.
- **Shared Security:** All Sub-Chains are secured by the full set of Beacon Chain validators. An attack on a single Sub-Chain would require attacking the entire XOLIXBlock network, making it economically infeasible.
Key Advantages
- Infinite Scalability: The network can scale horizontally by adding more Sub-Chains as demand grows.
- Low, Stable Fees: By isolating traffic onto different chains, the network avoids the gas fee spikes common on monolithic blockchains.
- Application-Specific Optimization: A gaming Sub-Chain can be optimized for high throughput and low latency, while a DeFi Sub-Chain can be optimized for security and finality.
- Interoperability by Default: All Sub-Chains are natively interoperable, creating a single, unified ecosystem.
